Hello world!  I guess this is where you get to know me, I will try & keep it brief & of course interesting!

Yours truly!

Name : Sharon  Age : old enough to know better!! or as granny would say “as old as my tongue & a little bit older than my teeth”!
Nationality : British (I know, we’re everywhere!)  Gender : Female  or in Little Britain style “i’m a laaydeee”
Status : Still waiting for the proposal!
: Dog – Charlie ( a cavoodle) the cutest pooch in the whole world & my best buddie
: New Zealand   Other Home : Australia…mate!
: Newbie blogger…but I  was a Fashion Marketing guru!

Why blogging?…
After moving to New Zealand in 2007, I decided to take up skiing again, all was fine & dandy until one day in September of 2009, a day that would change my life forever & change my life it did!  What happened?…’a bump to the head’ is what happened.  I acquired a mild traumatic brain injury (mtbi) from being knocked off my skis…crash, bang, wallop…my unprotected noggin slams onto compacted ice.
So, 2 years on & here I am, a complex new life (still getting used to it) & lots to share. I will use this blog as a way to share my own insights & challenges from living with my tbi plus anything else that captures my (clipped) attention!

Living with a TBI isn’t easy for the survivor or their family.

I hope you enjoy reading x

Hi, I’ve nominated you for the ABC award. Check for details here: http://wp.me/p1ZC80-H2
Hope you like it. Have a nice day.

  7. I was checking out your site and have so much reading to do. That will be later. I’m resting with my favorite buddy that never leaves my side. These injuries also traumatize our dogs! But mine loves the full-time nanny I have become!lol

    • You & your blog are quite an inspiration to me. I have found so many articles & your written posts to be more helpful than most of the specialists I have had to see here in NZ. I am actually dumfounded by the lack of knowledge some of these specialists have. Days, months I have felt like I was a crazy person. My dog to, loves having a full time nanny 🙂 what a great description. Getting a dog was a hard decision for myself & partner, however I feel now it was the best choice & wouldn’t be without my best buddie. He is spoilt & not the most obedient as I am not the most consistent or focused! hee hee. All part of the fun! Best wishes to you

  8. I knew after all our back and forth comments that you would turn into a good friend of mine, but after reading your About-Me section, you have also become an inspiration!!

    • Dan, those are very kind words, thank you. I didn’t realise just how many wonderful & genuine people I would meet in this arena. You my friend certainly inspire me to carry on with my journey. You have great talent & perception, I always look forward to reading your posts.

      • I couldn’t agree more; this community has definitely been incredible since everyone is so kind, caring, and welcoming. And right back at you! I really appreciate your kind words as well!! 🙂

  10. Hi Sharon, I haven’t seen you around lately and was checking in on you to see if you are okay? I don’t know any other way to find out and I’m concerned. I hope if someone else is reading your blog and you are not able, they will get back to me. Edie

  11. Hello Ms. Sharon,

You’ve been tagged in a fun game of Blogland Tag. You’re free to participate or not, either way is okey dokey by me. 🙂 It’s just meant for fun and maybe getting to know folks a little bit. Hugs!

Wishing you all the best – today & always.

    Blessings, Love & Peace,

  12. I’ve been off and on with blogging lately, but I’ve wondered how you’ve been doing? You came to mind when my husband had his motorcycle accident (August 6, 2013) when several New Zealander’s stopped to help on Beartooth Highway, MT … a paradise for motorcyclists. People from around the world travel this beautiful road … but I found beautiful people are those that travel this road as well. I need to write a post about the amazing New Zealanders … who saw his accident and helped him! The quick thinking was captured on camera. I haven’t heard from you in a while. Are you okay? Take care and stay safe, Edie
