The Versatile Blogger Award – accepted with pride & re-awarded!

I would like to express my SINCERE GRATITUDE to not one, but TWO bloggers who have nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award :

steponacrack & kellycautillo

Both have EXCELLENT blogs & are VERY deserving of the V B award bestowed upon them.

steponacrack a daughters journey about life with an Alcoholic mother & crippling dementia. Jen’s narrative is courageous, candid, & sobering. All this from a compassionate lady who is also a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor ๐Ÿ™‚

kellycautillo a vibrant young British woman who is a writer of contemporary fantasy novels, currently she is unpublished, may be there is an opportunity here? someone…
Kelly writes exceptionally well about a number of topics, from general observations & self discovery through to the craft of writing & book reviews. Her creative thought & candor is indeed captivating.

Don’t just take my word for these recommendations, make time yourself & check them out – please! ๐Ÿ™‚

The Rules of the โ€œVersatile Blogger Awardโ€ are as follows:

  1. Nominate 15 fellow bloggers.
  2. Inform the bloggers of their nomination.
  3. Share 7 random things about yourself.
  4. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
  5. Add the โ€œVersatile Blogger Awardโ€ pic to your blog post.

As I am still new to the blogging scene, I am going to introduce some new blogs that I have just started to follow as well as the tried & tested ones! All of my choices highlight a little of my own personality / SOH in some way ๐Ÿ™‚

My nominations are (in Oscar Awards stylee)

(I do not seem to be able to leave a comment on this blog ๐Ÿ˜ฆ hoping you get to read this post)

Next part…

7 rather random points about my life, some of which even I did not know until I started writing this!

1/. My favourite flowers are Peonies & Orchids

2/. It took me 5 attempts to pass my driving test – each time I was absolutely & totally convinced I had passed! I am still not sure if the instructor was told to ‘pass’ me or if I truly did it on my own merits ๐Ÿ™‚

3/. I have spent the past 9 months learning the amazing science that is Numerology. Taught me by a genuine teacher with
30 yrs experience here in NZ. Learning this science has to be one of the most rewarding studies I have accomplished for
many many years.

4/. I physically cannot run.ย  Hilarity ensues when I engage in such action.

5/. I have a phobia of drowning.ย  I swim breaststroke with my head at a 45deg angle to my back, which makes for an uncomfortable & arduous swim…not sure how that stops me from drowning!ย  I haven’t done any swimming since my accident, my neck doesn’t allow for such manipulation.

6/. I drink on average 2 litres of plunger coffee (black) everyday plus a flat white or two!

7/. I have an obsession with tanning my legs whilst the rest of my body remains white & luminous. What can I say I have a fear of aging, but it seems only from the hips up! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow that was hard, enjoyable but hard.ย  I am off for a nap now ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Thanks for nominating us! Very stoked ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Thank you so much for thinking of me!
I enjoy reading your blog too (-:
    Many blessings,

  3. Kelly Cautillo

Thanks so much for the ad (I hope that noone is disappointed). Loving the random facts – how are you not bouncing off the wall with all that coffee? Is it decaff? Please do describe the running technique you have or, better yet, get someone to film it!

  4. Hi KC! Well, I wish the coffee intake did give me a lift…alas, it has no effect on me…I have gone cold turkey for a while to see if there is a difference & no there isn’t! With or without my coffee, I run out of energy & brain power during each day ๐Ÿ˜ฆ The fact is I actually really like the taste of ‘good’ coffee ๐Ÿ™‚
As for running, a sight to behold I am told! Not sure I am brave enough to let the world see me in action (maybe one day!) I am not entirely sure how one would describe my attempts either…I will admit to swinging my arms & kicking my legs in every possible direction ๐Ÿ˜‰
You have great writing skills & you absolutely deserve credit ๐Ÿ™‚ As it took me most of teh day yesterday to write my post, today I shall be catching up on the posts of all the blogs I follow.
    Tataaar for now

  5. Hey there! Congratulations on your award! And thanks so much for thinking of me!

    • Hey there, No problem at all. I was about to go to your blog to tell you about your nomination! (I had problems connecting yesterday). I totally LOVE the format of your blog. Very clever & hugely entertaining ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. autumninbruges
